A Little Theatre Magic

While we haven’t updated this blog as often as we did back when the South Gate grant required it, that’s not because Alchemized Art has been idle!

From January through May, Unus Mundus, our long-term installation at the Huntsville Botanical Garden, kept us busy. We’ve also been working hard alongside the team of Magic Makers at Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre & Academy.

Jennifer made her debut as Projection and SFX Designer for Disney’s Descendants, in which Ronnie played Jafar and built some impressive props.

Jennifer’s original short play, The Shadow Catcher, a children’s exploration of Jungian shadow work, received the ‘Best in Fest’ award at the New Kids’ Play Fest 2026.

And most recently, Ronnie stepped into a new role as Special Projects Manager and built some impressive set pieces for the next production, Stephen Tyler Davis’s Alabama-based adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
